About us

The floor covering level is the largest horizontal surface in rooms and is also subject to the most intensive mechanical stress. High durability and abrasion resistance are generally taken for granted. The application in cleanrooms requires further characteristics, above all high material/surface density in combination with minimum particle emission in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 14644-1, among others. The maximum reduction of airborne particles is one of the central technical challenges in the construction and operation of cleanrooms.

Tarkett floor and wall coverings offer essential functional elements for the technically demanding equipment of sensitive environments with requirements up to class 3 according to ISO 14644-1. Highest chemical resistance, very good decontamination capability and permanent physical conductivity/conductivity for ESD/EPA areas open up areas of application in a wide range of industrial sectors as well as in the healthcare sector.

Sustainability accompanies the product life cycle from development through to the possible complete recycling of offcuts and old floor coverings using our proprietary ReStart® system.

With a history of more than 140 years, Tarkett is a leading global supplier of innovative and sustainable floor and wall coverings as well as sports flooring with a group-wide net turnover of 3.4 billion euros in 2023.

Our partners include architects, decision-makers, public and private sector clients as well as contractors, wholesalers, specialist retailers and the flooring trade. Our presence and proximity to the market give us comprehensive market knowledge and allow us to respond professionally to individual requirements in terms of design and function. The extensive portfolio of floor and wall coverings includes technical, design-orientated and sustainable variants of very different types and for almost all applications: homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC floor coverings, conductive/conductive coverings, safety coverings, wet room coverings for floors and walls, linoleum, designer flooring, carpet tiles and carpets, wooden flooring, as well as artificial turf and other sports surfaces are available throughout the Group.
